Your First Visit

When you arrive, our patient coordinator will extend a warm welcome and get you registered with the practice and let the rest of the team know you have arrived. We will also go over your insurance coverage if needed, and assist you with any required paperwork.

Next, one of our team members will guide you from the waiting area to a treatment room. There, they will go over your dental and medical history and discuss any dental health issues or concerns you may have. Then, our dental assistant will take digital x-rays for. It's important to note that the radiation level from digital dental x-rays is significantly lower than that of traditional x-rays. Should you need more information, feel free to discuss it with your dentist or dental assistant.

As a new patient, Dr. Sojitra or Dr. Pandya will perform a thorough examination. They will delve into your past medical records, address any worries you might have, and confirm your overall well-being. If you're feeling any nervousness about your appointment, this is the perfect time to express such feelings. We prioritize your comfort and will strive to ensure that your visit is as seamless and relaxing as possible. During this check-up, Dr. Sojitra or Dr. Pandya will evaluate your dental x-rays and conduct an oral cancer screening. This will encompass an inspection of your jaw, neck, tongue, and the interior of your mouth.

The initial appointment should take about an hour and allows our dental team to detect any problems such as gum ailments or tooth decay. After your examination, we will tailor a unique treatment plan and talk through the alternatives with you.

During your dental appointment, one of our amazing dental hygienists will review your dental background and respond to any inquiries you may have about oral care practices, symptoms of periodontal disease, or tooth brushing and flossing methods. This is the perfect time to bring up any discomfort, sensitivities, or difficulties you might be dealing with.

We will check your mouth and gums as well as perform a routine oral cancer screening. Finally, we will perform a comprehensive dental cleaning and polishing of your teeth.

To conclude your appointment, the hygienist will provide you with general home-care tips on caring for your teeth and preventing periodontal disease. The entire dental hygiene visit should last approximately 45 minutes. Before leaving our practice, you'll receive a toothbrush, dental floss, and toothpaste to support you in maintaining your oral health regime at home.

We will review your treatment plan together and our treatment coordinator will speak with you to arrange any necessary subsequent appointments, clarify payment methods and options, and answer to any questions you have about your dental insurance's applicability to your suggested treatments.

You'll be given a detailed cost analysis and insurance coverage report for every procedure. We're here to help you through the entire treatment process as it is our mission is to ensure you receive the care you need quickly and comfortably.
